Batshit PR Photographs for Traverse

I just finished a shoot with the Traverse marketing team for Batshit, their Fringe production by Leah Shelton, directed by Ursula Martinez. It was a brilliant challenge and a privilege to create promo and press images in the National Galleries of Scotland, big thanks to them for letting us shoot in such an incredible space and to Traverse for putting together an amazing shoot.

Batshit is a one-woman show that reckons with the myths around female madness drawing on the real story of Leah’s grandmother Gwen, who was institutionalised in 1960s Australia. It mixes raw storytelling, pop culture, voiceovers and visuals to ask big questions about diagnosis, gender, stigma. It’s dark, funny, moving and visually bold.
