Hamish is launching his album, a Book Festival-commissioned tribute to Ivor Cutler. ‘Life in a Scotch Sitting Room’ has stories and songs rooted in his Edinburgh childhood, woven with the timeless eccentric brilliance of Cutler. I had the pleasure of photographing Jenny Niven, Director of the Edinburgh International Book Festival. The shoot took place at the Edinburgh Futures Institute, the festival’s new home, and the aim was to create a versatile portrait for use across their communications. Jenny was a dream to work with and it was great to have a few hours with her to find locations and the perfect light on location.
